India has banned PUBG mobile along with 118 other Chinese apps in the wake of growing tension alongside the Ladakh border.

As of May, PUBG mobile had been the most popular game in India with 35.8% installs of the game from a total of 34.2 million downloads all around the world. It is estimated that banning the most popular game in India has caused Tencent Games to lose $14 billion in market value one day after the ban. India grew to become the biggest market for Tencent Games in PUBG mobile with increase in number of young streamers, YouTubers and participants in the world league competitions.
